Transformation
How often do you find yourself asking, Who am I? and Why am I here?
We go about our lives looking for answers from someone else. We do endless research looking for the answer to this very question.. What is wrong with me?
My dear, the only thing wrong is that you aren’t trusting yourself.
You have years and years of generational trauma handed down to you from unhealed family members. Years of social conditioning. We rely on the wisdom of the collective, thinking that someone- anyone knows better than we do. Allowing all of these things (parents, education, work etc.) to mold and shape who we are. We have trained ourselves to look outside of ourselves for guidance and direction.
I invite you to change the questions that you are asking yourself. Try asking, Who do I have the potential to become?
We can not transform who we were. As much as we try to brush it under the rug or bury it in the depths of our mind. Transformation occurs when we stop lying to ourselves and to each other. Those situations that we try to hide made us who we are today. I gaurantee when you take a step back and observe, that you have learned something from each and every thing that’s happened to you. No matter how ugly the situation.
Yet here we are ignoring our intuition. We think if we just keep busy, if we relax by watching hours of tv or social media or if we self medicate we can get away from it all. My question, how’s that working for you?
Trusting yourself again.
The only thing that you can trust without question is your body. It never lies to you. It knows when you are stressed. You feel it in your temples, the back of your neck or possibly somewhere more severe. Chronic stress can cause negative health effects on your mood, immune and digestive systems.
I encourage you to slow down and get honest with yourself about what works and what doesn’t. You probably already know.
I get it, change is scary. However is what you are doing right now working for you anymore? Are you doing it because it’s familiar?
We are powerful beings.
You have the choice to awaken to who you already are and transform into who you might become. Keeping in mind that YOU decide if this is a new begining.
As you begin to look at life in a new way you’ll discover you are much more than you ever dreamed possible. That YOUR mind and body are not the enemy.
Over the next couple of months we are going to dig into the lies that we tell ourselves. Words like unstable, unraveled, underpreforming, unhinged, unqualified and more. As we go through these words and these feeling I encourage to listen to your body, how does this make you feel? Pay attention to your breath. Notice if you are holding your breathe or taking shallow short breaths. Does the word or feeling trigger you in some sort of way? Remember you are simply observing.
Take a couple of deep breaths and allow your body to soften.
When that truth begins to move give it space for reflection.
I think it’s safe to say that we are all looking for something, that something is missing or we are destined for more.
I encourage you as we start this journey that you write what you are feeling as it surfaces into a journal of some sort.
Remember that this is YOUR life, it belongs to you and no one else. You are not broken, you are simply doing the best that you know how my love.
