Reclaiming My Power

But it’s too hard…..

We all have something that has happened in our life that we struggle to get through. Stop looking for comiserators, stop looking to others for answers and stop complaining. YOU have the opportunity to spin the situation. Here are 17 ways to help YOU reclaim your power!

What’s your story? We all have one. We surround ourselves with hundereds of negative thoughts every day, most often unconsiously. It has bee SO deeply engrained in us to focus on what we haven’t done- instead of what we have. Worried that someone else might be judging us. Embarrased by what we have been through.

With practice you can drop these negative thoughts and realize what it takes to climb higher and higher in our conciousness.

To let go of those things that don’t serve you and surround yourself with people who lift you up, people with similar goals, aspirations and dreams. Once you wake up your spiritual appetite you can help but to ascend to new levels.

How do I claim my power??

  1. Make a conscious shift in your thinking from caring for others to caring for yourself 1st. That doesn’t mean you need to forget all about your family, or other commitments that simply means taking some uninterrupted time for yourself.

  2. Morning meditation. Set the tone for the day- don’t let the day control you. Get into flow first thing so you attract the things you need for your day. Make it part of your rountine. Relaxing or something fun and juicy that you look forward to each day.

  3. Yoga/ Streching/ Excercise- get that body moving!! It gets oxygen and nutrients flowing through your body. It makes you feel better, improving your mood, combating health conditions, promotes better sleep and so much more. The important thing is to have fun with it and enjoy it. Make it something that you look forward to- not just another thing you have to do!

  4. Make healthy dietary choices. A healthy diet has many benefits, including a reduced risk of various diseases and health conditions, improved mood, and better memory. We aren’t perfect in fact we are human. Every little healthy choice is a step in the right direction. It takes practice to create new habits- that includes eating. Give yourself some grace.

  5. Become an active observer. What things do you like? What things do you dislike? What feels good and feeds your soul?

  6. Be your authentic self. Does what you say align with your actions??

  7. Give yourself permission to set your own pace. Don’t focus on what you don’t have- focus on what you do have and watch those things grow and manifest.

  8. Take no offense. We all make mistakes. Don’t read too much into someones ill mannered comment. Let it go. Their comment shows their insecruities. Besides it’s none of your business what others think of you. Surround yourself with people who get you, people who are happy when you succeed.

  9. Communicate clearly. If you answered who, what, where, why, when and how you owe them nothing else.

  10. It’s not your responsibility to change people. You can only change your reactions to them. See them for who they are “The spirit inside me sees and respects the spirit inside you.” Send them love and light because you don’t know what that person has been through. They have to make the decision to change and grow.

  11. Vocalize your appreciation. Share your heart with the people you care about. Say thank you, say I love you don’t just assume that they know.

  12. Listen more than you speak. Ask questions, show that you care by engauging and listening carefully.

  13. Guilt- it’s a choice period. It’s a tool used by others to control. Don’t allow them to live rent free in your head or your heart.

  14. You are more than what you see in the mirror PERIOD!

  15. Affirmations- use them and post them everywhere. The ones that are uncomfortable are the ones you need to see and hear most! Once you believe them, change them up!

  16. Do a nightly review. Journal at least 5 things that went well. NO buts or coulda should woulda’s allowed. Put yourself in apprecation mode.

  17. Integrity is strength! Your personal power is enhanced by your integrity. Tell the truth, keep your word, never engage in gossip- don’t speak it, don’t listen to it. You lower your frequency every time you do it.
